Dear paid subscribers,

If I’m honest, I’m surprised how good it feels to write those words again. It’s been too long and I’m sorry! I’d like to say May has gone by so quickly that the end of the month caught me by surprise, but for once that’s not true.

I’m drafting this in pen, notebook, and ink for once so I’ll aim to transcribe truthfully. I mention this change of medium because in my head, the tone of voice for this is already coming out different than my usual…perhaps some place setting is due.

I sit in a cozy but slightly chaotic tea house in a quirky neighborhood of Pittsburgh. After a weekend of participating in my art and in “the moment” fully, I am hosting a writer’s group! (It’s called “loose leaf” which I didn’t come up with but I think is cute because we’re writers and it’s at a tea house, so I had to share.) The point is, imagine me here, a hobbit and/or fairy in a cozy natural hovel of a room drinking summer sunshine from an eco friendly tumbler-and-straw.

I’m thankful for the full moon as a strong punctuation mark to this long month. I want to say it was delightful- the month- and in so many ways it was! But my overwhelming impression of this month is “thank God I’m able to wash that out of my hair once and for all.” The full moon is perfect for that type of release.

Now, I mentioned this is for paid subscribers only and that’s for safety and legal reasons. I’d like to be a bit more transparent about the “shit” I’ve been going through that I keep alluding to, but I really can’t have all this business floating around.
